St John Ambulance opening in Swords

St John Ambulance for websiteSt. John Ambulance are looking for volunteers to join their New Swords Division.

We are looking forward to meeting the people of Swords and North Dublin Volunteer Information Evening on Wednesday, 21st May at 7:30pm in the Holywell Community Centre Swords. All are welcome to come and learn about the organisation’s aims, whether or not they decide to join.

St John Ambulance Ireland is proud to announce the establishment of a new adult division in Swords, Co. Dublin. This Division will serve both the town of Swords and the communities of North County Dublin by providing trained first aiders at local events and regular first aid classes in the community.

A large number of volunteer requests have been submitted to St John Ambulance from this area in recent times. A decision was made to launch this new division of St John Ambulance to address this increasing interest in North Dublin.

St John Ambulance Ireland is the oldest first aid charity in the country, as well as being one of Ireland’s leading first aid organisations. St John Ambulance is committed to the vision that first aid treatment should be available to anyone who has suddenly become sick or injured. Our volunteers work tirelessly, on public duty and in training, to make this vision a reality. They can be the difference between a life lost and a life saved.

Any queries about this new division – or any aspect of volunteering with St John Ambulance – should be addressed to the National Volunteer Co-ordinator via email: volunteer@stjohn.ie.
