Focus on – Volunteer Drivers
This month, we want to tell you more about the volunteer driver roles available with various organisations.
Volunteer drivers help and support the vulnerable within our community by driving them to their medical appointments or delivering meals at their door. Volunteer drivers also help organisations moving stocks (food, furniture, hampers..) from a site to another.
Every role requires a full driving license and a smile. Some roles require you to have your own car. Make sure to check the details before applying.
Note: Because of the nature of the volunteering opportunity, you may need to be Garda vetted which might delay your start. However, the wait is worthwhile and rewarding! If you have any questions or concerns about Garda Vetting, speak to us to know more about it.
