December focus on- Volunteering opportunities in the field of Arts

Volunteering in arts-related roles provides a wonderful opportunity to share your passion and creativity while making a positive impact.

These roles not only allow you to highlight your talents but also inspire others to explore their own creative potential. Whether you are leading a workshop or mentoring budding artists, you have the chance to make a meaningful difference through the transformative power of art.

A wide range of roles awaits, from pottery tutor to dance facilitator, musician to chef, drama instructor to video editor—there is something for every creative enthusiast!

Check out the following volunteering roles in this field:

Urgently needed: Volunteer language liaison (Arabic / English)

Next week, children and their families will be brought to Dublin from Gaza by the Irish Red Cross for medical treatment .

To facilitate this emergency action, the Irish Red Cross is in urgent need of volunteers who speak Arabic and English to act as a liaison person for families  during their stay in Dublin.

Volunteers will be supported all along by dedicated support workers from the Irish Red Cross. Extensive training will be provided for the volunteers and agreed expenses will be covered.

Fingal Volunteer Centre – Volunteers Appreciation Evening

Last week, we had the pleasure to welcome over 20 organisations, joining us with their volunteers for an evening of celebration. During the evening, we recognised the volunteers present and thank them, for giving every day their time and skills to the ones around them, for making their community a better place, while expecting nothing in return.

During the evening, we also celebrated Avista and Malahide parkrun,  who have archived a Fingal Managing Volunteers Award.

The evening took place at the Grand Hotel in Malahide and live music was provided by 2 fantastic groups, the Ecoleles from Skerries and Ciúnas. Thank you all again for making this evening special.

Fingal Volunteer Centre – Christmas Card Initiative 2024

During Fingal Inclusion Week, we kick-off a crafted Christmas and New Year Card appeal. We partnered with 5 local organisations in Fingal who are working with adults who may be isolated this season to get those cards to them to uplift their spirits and remind them that they are not forgotten.

We want to say Thank You to all the amazing volunteers who created and sent us Christmas and New Year greeting cards. With your help, over 250 beautiful cards were crafted with care and creativity and are stating to get distributed. Thank you for helping us share the warmth and joy of the festive season with those who need it most.
