The Fingal Community Volunteers is a project managed by the Fingal Volunteer Centre and is part of a wider national community volunteers’ campaign.
The programme was initially set up in 2010 to respond to various extreme weather events as well as responding to calls for large groups of people to volunteer at community events such as concerts, environmental events, sporting events and community events.

Take action and make a difference when urgent community needs arise
Becoming a Community Volunteer
Becoming a Community Volunteer is a great opportunity to get involved in your local community in Fingal by supporting local events and initiatives.
It’s a chance to learn more about your local area, meet new people and develop new skills. Plus, it’s great fun!
It will give you the opportunity to avail of unique training in understanding volunteering, supporting urgent community responses and volunteering at events and festivals.
There will always be a Volunteer manager at every event to ensure you have a fantastic volunteering experience. It also gives you the chance to make a difference when urgent community needs arise.
It’s the perfect way to volunteer for those who want to get involved in their community but don’t have much time. You can get involved as often or as little as you like when it suits your schedule.
