Placement Support Worker (21 hours per week- Remote)
Fingal Volunteer Centre is the primary resource for both volunteers and volunteer-involving organisations in County Fingal (North County Dublin). We believe in the ethos of volunteering and that it is an important expression of civic engagement. Our mission is to promote the value of volunteering and increase the range and quality of volunteering in county Fingal.
We are excited to be recruiting a new part-time Placement support worker for a fixed term contract (3 months). The Centre’s operating hours are 9-5 and the exact working hours of the contract, will be made in agreement with the successful candidate. The role can be carried out remotely with occasional meetings in office.
Key areas of work will include
- To recruit volunteers, linking them to volunteering opportunities in local organisations across the Fingal County area
- To support volunteers throughout the placement process, including following up with volunteers to assess quality of their placement
- Organise, facilitate and represent the centre at volunteer events and initiatives to promote volunteering across the community and online
- To identify areas of need, under-represented groups and barriers to volunteering with a view of developing strategies to respond to these needs and gaps
- To work closely with the staff team to enhance the services of the Centre and meet the targets set out in the work plan
- To recruit volunteers at public events and emergency response as part of Community Volunteers project
- Salesforce support on I-VOL
- Data entry
- Social media and newsletters
Please note that the work may be carried out remotely with occasional meetings in office. Place of employment is QES House, Birch House, Rosemount Business Park, Ballycoolin, Dublin 11.
