Fingal Volunteer Spring Expos 2024 (in Baldoyle, Balbriggan and Swords)

Last week we were in Baldoyle library for our first 2024 Spring expo. Volunteers (and people interested in volunteering) connected with local non-profits, discovering more about various volunteer opportunities available in their local area. The event highlighted the incredible spirit of volunteerism in Baldoyle and how collective efforts can drive meaningful change.

The next expos are taking place in Balbriggan (Sat 18th May) and Swords (Fri 24th May). These expos are perfect opportunities for you to come and meet local organisations, learn about their volunteer roles, ask questions, and find that opportunity that will inspire you.

You can register for the expos via links below or just drop in on the day. Details of both expos are as follows:

National Volunteering Week 2024

Every year in Ireland, National Volunteering Week (20th to 26th of May) features events, stories, and videos that highlight the best of volunteering.

This year’s theme “Uniquely Us” highlights the incredible diversity, creativity, and individuality that each volunteer brings to our community.
#NVWIreland
#UniquelyUs
All weeklong, we will celebrate volunteers by sharing amazing volunteer stories from local communities through social media and traditional media.

May Focus on: Website Development volunteers

By becoming a website developer volunteer, you can use your technical skills to create a significant impact.

Many non-profits/charities lack the resources to build and maintain a professional online presence i.e.- their own website, which is crucial for raising awareness, attracting donations, and engaging with the community.

As a website development volunteer, you can get a chance to design and develop a website, enhance functionalities that help in streamlining operations, provide technical support or simply train the team members about website management.

This volunteering role empowers various organisations active in different fields to expand their reach, engage more effectively with their supporters, and further their causes.
