Community Volunteers
The Community Volunteer program supports local events and is a great way to be involved in the community, meet new people, and learn about our environment.
Over the past few weeks our Community Volunteers have been remarkably busy supporting 4 different events.
- Bord Bia Bloom in Phoenix Park, where, for 5 days, an amazing daily team of 30 volunteers had a fun filled day answering questions from the public around the venue and encouraging everyone to be environmentally aware, while tasting the wonderful food as well as soaking the festive spirit.
- Waka Waka Africa took place in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15. This event was a celebration of African culture, music, and food.
- We were back in Donabate for a Tree Counting/Analysis Project. In the footsteps of tree planting events last year where a previous group of Community Volunteers planted trees over 3 weekends. We counted over 1000 trees, analyzed their growth, and flagged the ones that need a little bit of extra care.
- Finally, at Safer Together Blanchardstown, our Volunteers entertained families at the classic games booths, before taking part in the fantastic color run.
Interested in joining us at future events? On 29th & 3oth of June we will be volunteering at the huge family festival- The Flavours of Fingal, on the Newbridge House estate in Donabate. If you wish to be involved, please contact us for more information.
Looking forward to meeting you at one of our upcoming events.
