National Volunteering Week

Each year across Ireland, National Volunteering Week includes a range of events, stories and videos that showcase all that is great about volunteering. The theme for National Volunteering Week 2024 is ‘Uniquely Us!’

At the Fingal Volunteer Centre, National Volunteering Week is a special time. It is is a weeklong celebration of volunteering. We showcase incredible volunteer stories in our communities through social and traditional media and It’s a week filled with various events!

This year’s National Volunteering Week theme is ‘Uniquely Us’. Wtruly believe that celebrating, not just accommodating, the uniqueness of our volunteers makes our communities stronger and more connected. This National Volunteering Week we are exploring the diversity of volunteers who make Ireland what it is. No matter your age, race, abilities, or status, we honor your place in the community and the volunteering that you, uniquely, do.

World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development
As part of National Volunteer Week, the Fingal Volunteer Centre is collaborating with Children for World Children to celebrate the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development. Join us for an unforgettable musical experience and celebrate the rich Mediterranean culture on May 21st at Millennium Park Dublin 15 for this special event. Swords Expo

We are delight to announce our Swords Expo! Join us in Swords Castle on Friday 24th May, From 4:00pm – 7.00pm. Walk-ins welcome! Tree Planting Progress Check

We’re excited to invite the public to join us for a Tree Planting Progress Check with Fingal Volunteer Centre and Swords Woodland Association, on Saturday 25th May, From 10:15am – 12.00pm in Newbridge House, Donabate. This marks an important milestone since our trees were planted on St. Patrick’s Day in 2023. This event offers an opportunity for everyone to witness the growth and development of our newly planted trees. Whether you were involved in the planting process or simply interested in environmental initiatives, we welcome you to come and see the progress firsthand.
