September focus on: Volunteer Teacher/Tutor/Mentor roles
As a volunteer teacher/tutor/mentor, you not only share your knowledge and skills but also boost someone’s confidence and play a crucial role in helping them grow.

Local Volunteer Expo in Dublin 15 & in Balbriggan

Mark your calendars – Local Volunteer Expos are coming this Fall!
We are bringing the local volunteer Expo to Dublin 15 on the 4th of October and to Balbriggan on the 18th of October.
If you live, work, or spend time in these areas, this is your chance to connect with local volunteer organisations who are looking for people just like you.
The Expos are a welcoming space to:
- Meet inspiring people from a variety of organisations
- Learn about the causes they’re passionate about
- Find opportunities that spark your own interest and values

Our Community Volunteers are making September truly memorable for festival goers So far this month they have been supporting the Howth Maritime Seafood Festival, Safer Together Blanchardstown and the All-Ireland Piping & Drumming Championships 2025 in Lusk with energy and dedication.
This weekend they will be back to Blanchardstown to support the Mental Health Ireland Fundraising event in the Shopping Centre.

Volunteer Ireland Awards 2025

Every day, volunteers across Ireland provide essential services and bring immense joy to the people around them.
The Volunteer Ireland Awards celebrate these contributions by recognising the incredible impact volunteers make in their communities. Nominations for the 2025 Awards are now open.
In December, winners will be announced across 11 award categories, along with the prestigious Christine Buckley Volunteer of the Year Award. To ensure every effort is valued, each nominated volunteer will also receive a special thank-you card from Volunteer Ireland.
