May focus on: Outdoor Volunteer Roles

There are a variety of volunteers roles that make being outdoors more enjoyable and meaningful. It is a fantastic way to meet new people, stay active, and make a positive difference in the lives of people within the community.
Whether you are passionate about the environment, enjoy staying active, or simply love being outdoors, there is a volunteer role:
Tidy Towns Projects Keep streets, parks, and your local spaces clean and beautiful
Community Garden initiatives bring people together and promote sustainability
Local sports activities where you can help events run smoothly and support teams in many ways
Beach and canal clean-ups initiatives protect our local ecosystems
Make sure to read the role in detail. Some roles allow you to directly show up on the day, but most roles require pre-registrations, so the organiser can know how many people to expect on the day.

Community Volunteers

Our Community Volunteer programme is seeing fantastic engagement from our volunteers. A new text alert system now notifies Community Volunteers as soon as an event opens for registration, increasing awareness and giving volunteers the chance to sign up for events they are genuinely interested in supporting.
This month, volunteers will support several exciting events, including Baldoyle Bay Biosphere, Volunteer Expo 2026, and the Blanchardstown Brass Band’s 200th anniversary celebrations.
June begins with the Safer Together Summer Festival in Millennium Park, Dublin 15, on 6th June. Volunteers will help manage free game booths and support the Colour Run. On 14th June, they will support the Skerries Wild Bee Festival. We currently have enough volunteers for these events.
Later in the month, volunteers will assist Malahide Tidy Towns at two major Malahide Castle concerts: Katy Perry on 24th June and Calvin Harris on 28th June.(we still need volunteers for both concerts)
On the 4th and 5th of July, one of our largest volunteer-supported events, Flavours of Fingal, will take place in Donabate. It is a fantastic community event and a great opportunity to volunteer at one of Fingal’s most popular festivals. Registration just opened, sign up your shift today.
You can register your interest through your Community Volunteers profile or contact Ruth at info@volunteerfingal.ie if you would like to get involved.
