March focus on: Supporting the Elderly ![]() Many of us are lucky to have a special elderly person in our life, a grandparent, parent or neighbour perhaps. We learn so much from their years of experience. Not everyone has family around them. Thankfully, there are many organisations that support elderly people to live longer, healthier and happier lives. Information Event for Over 55’s ![]() Fingal County Council is organising an Information Event for the Over 55s at 10:30am – 12:30pm on Tuesday 1st April in Skerries Harps. This is a wonderful event where you can discover a wide variety of supports in the community. Come meet with Citizens Information, Healthy Age Friendly Homes, Fingal Leader Partnership (Care & Repair), ALONE, An Garda Siochana and more… We will also be there, call in by our table to have a chat with Megan and Ruth. Save the date – Fingal Volunteer Expo on Monday 19th May ![]() To celebrate National Volunteer Week, Fingal Volunteer Centre is hosting a Volunteer Expo on Monday 19th May, 3pm to 6pm in the Malahide Grand Hotel. Come join us, meet with a wide variety of local and national organisations. You will have the opportunity to discover more about their work and the volunteer roles they have available. Keep an eye out for our next newsletter for more information. Community Volunteers ![]() The community Volunteers had incredible time volunteering at the St. Patrick’s Day parades. We supported the additional needs area in both Blanchardstown and Balbriggan. It was heartwarming to see the joy on the faces of the children and families as they enjoyed the festivities.
