Focus on – Board Members
This month, we want to tell you more about the committee/ board member roles available with various organisations.
If you are looking for a role that allows you to use your expertise in areas such as Human Resources, Finance, Management, Legal, GDPR, Governance…then have you ever considered becoming a board member for a local organisation?
Don’t worry if you do not have such expertise, many boards are happy to accept people with a fresh perspective who are committed to learn the role of a board member.
The board member responsibilities may include setting organisational goals, establishing policies, evaluating the organisation’s performance, and representing the organisation to stakeholders. Collaboration and effective communication with fellow board members, staff, volunteers, and external partners are essential for success in this role.
Serving as a board member for a non-profit or charity organisation is a rewarding commitment that plays a pivotal role in driving positive changes and making a meaningful impact in your communities.
