Fingal Volunteer of the Year Award 2025 by Fingal Volunteer Centre

This year we launched the Fingal Volunteer of the Year Award. The jury is having a hard time deciding within the many nominations received from organisations from all over Fingal.

Thank you for taking the time to nominate the volunteers who have made a difference for your organisation and the wider community. The stories shared about these nominated volunteers are truly heartwarming.

The Fingal Volunteer of the Year Award will be presented during our Volunteer Appreciation Evening, part of the International Volunteer Day celebrations.

Boardmatch Ireland Webinar

Boardmatch Ireland is hosting a webinar on the topic of Understanding Governance and Management of Charity Boards.

This webinar will provide essential information on the fundamentals of governance and promote a shared understanding of the collective role of the board in ensuring accountability, transparency, and strategic oversight.

Learning Through Volunteering Survey

Volunteer Ireland is working on a EU project focused on service learning and recognition of prior learning through volunteering in Ireland.

As part of this project, Volunteer Ireland is conducting a brief survey to understand how volunteers perceive the skills they have gained through their volunteering experiences and how they can express these skills.

The survey consists of only six questions and is written in plain English. We would greatly appreciate your assistance in sharing the survey with your volunteers.
