Young volunteers can get involved in a wide range of volunteer roles: Tidy towns volunteers, canal clean-up volunteers, first aid volunteers, retail assistants, parkrun support volunteers and childcare support volunteers etc. Taking up any of these roles is a good introduction to the world of volunteering for young people.

Check out following volunteering roles suitable for volunteers aged 16+:

Have you recently started volunteering?

If so, we would love to hear about your experience by taking a quick survey on the wellbeing benefits of volunteering. We want to know how volunteering impacts your health and wellbeing. More overall, how you feel about being a volunteer.

To participate, complete the survey here: https://volunteerdublin.fillout.com/t/kMawsEdJiAus

Please only complete the survey if you have begun volunteering (regardless of if you started to volunteer yesterday or years ago).

Results will be shared on World Mental Health Day, 10th October 2024.

DCEDIY (the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration, and Youth) is developing the next National Strategy for Women and Girls to build on previous progress and advance women’s and girls’ rights. To ensure a broad range of views, DCEDIY seeks public input on key issues and challenges facing women and girls today via an online survey.

The survey is open until October 14th.
