Fingal Virtual Volunteering Expo

The Fingal Virtual Volunteer Expo

The Fingal Virtual Volunteer Expo’s are online events organised and hosted by the Fingal Volunteer Centre that provide a virtual platform for local community development organisations to share their stories, initiatives, and good work they do with their communities in their immediate local and throughout Fingal County.

The Fingal Volunteer Centre is delighted to provide a medium like the Virtual Volunteer Expos for affiliate community development organisations as they seek to increase their Outreach and communication with current and potential volunteers.

How do the Fingal Virtual Volunteer Expo's work?

The Virtual Volunteer Expo’s take place via Zoom and are open to organisations, current and potential volunteers, and the wider general public. The Virtual Expo takes place in the evenings between 6-7:00pm after common office and academic working hours in order to maximise its partipation potential for volunteers.

The Event starts off with an introduction by the Fingal Volunteer Centres Volunteer Support Team who lead the hosting of the Virtual Volunteer Expo. A member of the administration staff is in charge of the PowerPoint slides reel and changes the slides as the show progresses.

Each organisation, usually between four or five, is given the opportunity to present to the attendees the background story, current and future initiatives, and the volunteer roles that are available with the organisation.

Attendees have an opportunity to engage with each community development organisation by asking questions which will be read out at the end of each organisations presentation or alternatively at the end of the Expo if questions come to mind then.

How do Organisations and Attendees sign up?

Organisations can sign up for the Fingal Virtual Volunteer Expo by contacting Chiara Tamborini at [email protected] or ringing 01-899-1921. Once organisations decide they would like to take part they produce between 5 to 6 PowerPoint slides that their nominated representative will present on the evening of the Virtual Volubteer Expo.

Attendees can sign up and register through I-Vol, Irelands national Volunteer Database, or by following the links to the Expo that will be posted on all of the Fingal Volunteer Centres social media platforms and its website.
